about henna

What is henna?

Simply put, henna is a paste made out of crushed leaves of henna plant. Ask any henna artist how they mix their henna and you will likely get many different answers.  Being that henna has been a tradition in a number of regions and cultures, there are a lot of “traditional” ways to mix henna, as well as some more modern approaches that are commonly used.

*the henna paste I use is 100% natural and home-made. I use only harvested organic henna powder, high-altitude lavender oil, organic lemon juice, and organic raw cane sugar for the safety and satisfaction of my clients.

How is it applied?

I use a bottle and small applicator tip. Henna is similar to the consistency of toothpaste - so imagine drawing on your skin with toothpaste, and you get the idea.

How long does it last?

A henna tattoo should last roughly 2 weeks. There are many factors that can alter how long it keeps from fading, such as water contact, or dryness and rubbing the skin. But take care of it, and you should love the result!
